The relevant clause was buried in an addendum attached to his original schedule — a document he hadn't looked at since the day he bought the policy three years earlier. He couldn't find it. His broker couldn't find it quickly either. It took four days.
That delay cost him a negotiating position on a five-figure claim. When he went looking for a tool that would aggregate his policies and make them searchable, nothing existed for consumers that wasn't designed primarily to sell them more insurance. So he built one.
